Helping Hands ALN Care is part of Fingers and Thumbs Day Care Centre.  It was formed specifically to help families and children with additional needs to have a safe place to meet with others from similar backgrounds, share experiences and give support to each other.
All sessions need to be booked in advance to ensure we have adequate staffing ratios in place to meet everybody’s needs.  Parents are also required to complete a registration form prior to their children starting at the club and to pass on any relevant information such as Care Plans.
Sessions have now been cancelled for the After School and Saturday Club for 3-11 year olds, but Youth Club continues as follows:

Youth Club

Youth Club is available for young people from 12-19+ years of age on a Thursday from 5.00 p.m. – 7.00 p.m. during term times.  These sessions cost £11 each.  Our aim is to give the young people an opportunity to learn life skills in a safe, caring environment.  They will be encouraged to prepare and cook their own meals,  clean up after their meal, take part in a savings club, go on trips in the community where they have opportunities to socialise with others and spend money they have saved, learn how to do their hair and make-up and basic social skills.  They will also be able to take part in numerous activities at the club such as crafts, games, outdoor play and ICT.

Holiday Periods
It is hoped that sessions will continue during the school holidays, but these may not be as frequent as during the school term.  Information about holiday sessions will be put up on our facebook page prior to all holidays.
